L'Arche Communities

Like any community, L'Arche communities are made up of many parts. Central are the L'Arche homes and those who live in them, both those with disabilities and those who care for them.

Our communities also include a Community Leader, Community Council, Board of Directors, friends who join us in prayer or offer support, house neighbours, prayer companions and so on.

At different times and in different places, members join together to 'live community,' to offer something of themselves for the benefit of all in L'Arche.

Community life is often rich, but it can also be a struggle as members grapple with the challenges of their disability, or with the unexpected events of life. But above all, members are pledged to be faithful in their friendship to one another.
