L’Arche Melbourne is community of people with and without disability sharing lives together in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne. Currently we have two houses and a number of people who are part of the community and some of whom receive formal support from L’Arche. The vision of L’Arche is to make known the gifts of people with an intellectual disability.

L’Arche Melbourne is looking for a Community Support Coordinator to join the team and support the growing community. The person who will be welcomed into our wonderful team will understand and ideally have experience of community living and the values of L’Arche.

The role particularly focuses on the supervision and support of Assistants to ensure a life-giving environment in our households that enhance the lives of everyone who lives there, especially our supported Members. This includes many practical areas of support but also brings the opportunity to explore new and creative ways to enhance the lives of Supported members to meet their changing needs. In keeping with the values of L’Arche, this will involve consultation with the supported members with intellectual disability and their families to ensure that individuals’ identified outcomes are being achieved.

This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week.
