About our Community

Foundation date: 17 March 2003

The community includes members who live independently, as well as two supported households located across Brisbane’s inner Eastern suburbs. Community members are connected to a diverse range of social, community, and local networks, reflecting active participation in the wider community.

NDIS Registration

L’Arche Brisbane Inc. is a registered NDIS provider. Currently we are registered to provide support in the following classes. Accommodation/Tenancy; Assist- Life Stage, Transition; Daily Tasks/Shared Living; Development – Life Skills; Group/Centre Activities-programs of support for individual learning goals; Household Tasks; Participate in Community; Personal Activities High; Support Coordination. We would like to advised that we charge at the price limit as set out in the NDIS Support Catalogue for all supports. We welcome your enquiry to see if we may be a good fit for you in any of these listed areas.

Regular Activities

Our community gathers regularly, creating opportunities for connection, belonging, and mutual support. Members are encouraged to build relationships through informal social catch-ups, prayer with L’Arche Australia, participation in church life, shared meals, and monthly community gatherings. Each year, we offer two retreat days for our local community, providing time for reflection and fellowship. Members are also encouraged to participate in local cultural and civic events, enriching their connections with others and the wider community.

Online engagement is supported through social media, where members can stay informed about community news and events.
